I would love to support the VNA of Ohio by contributing.

No act of generosity is too small to make a difference.

Your gift of $3,000 helps us impact behavioral health by 430 patients living with mental illness with medication organizers that behavioral health nurses and therapists use to teach these patients how to be compliant with their daily medications to prevent re-hospitalizations.

Your gift of $2,000 helps us move healthcare forward by providing support for VNAO Hospice's annual "Light a Life" ceremony for grieving families free of charge to remember their loved ones who have passed.

Your gift of $1,000 helps us bring dignity to aging by providing supplies for volunteers to make 100 homemade gowns and blankets to be given to each VNA Hospice patient, bringing comfort to patients as they begin hospice care.

Your gift of $500 helps us create the workforce for tomorrow by funding a VNAO clinician's continuing education benefit for the next year to help them learn new skills and progress along their chosen career path.

Your gift of $250 helps us make healthcare equitable by purchasing enough Theraband for our physical and occupational therapists to provide necessary home exercise equipment to over 150 patients, allowing all patients the opportunity to get stronger and improve functionally at home.

Your gift of $100 helps us bring dignity to aging by funding a home health aide visit to assist ailing or aging patients with light housework, such as cooking or cleaning.

Your gift of $50 helps us move healthcare forward by providing a VNAO field clinician over 230 disposable masks to help protect the health of that clinician and the patients they serve.

The VNA of Ohio (VNAO) has been a leader in home care delivery for 120 years. It is a not-for-profit community care organization focusing on home healthcare, including behavioral healthcare, hospice, and personal private-duty services. The staff does this every day with unique compassion not often found elsewhere.

Today, the VNAO touches more than 5,200 lives in Northeast Ohio every year, particularly the most vulnerable, underserved, and marginalized. As the organization moves forward, several bold opportunities have been identified to address our most urgent healthcare challenges.

  • Bringing Dignity to Aging - Helping older adults remain as independent as possible and stay in the comfort of their own homes through skilled nursing, occupational, physical, and speech therapy. VNAO also provides hospice care that supports patients and their families at the end of life.
  • Impacting Behavioral Health - Providing the most comprehensive range of home-based behavioral health services in Northeast Ohio with nearly 6,000 mental health visits in client's homes through the program.
  • Making Healthcare Equitable - Serving the most vulnerable and marginalized in our communities, delivering quality care that everyone needs and deserves in their homes.
  • Workforce Development - Developing the needed workforce for years to come by creating opportunities for more clinicians to get the community based training they need to join the home healthcare field with a robust nursing preceptor program.

Bold plans require bold action, and now is the time to move healthcare forward. The nurses and staff of VNAO act boldly every day. They go where other providers are hesitant to go and they routinely find solutions to the most difficult and challenging community needs. Thanks to the VNAO, healthcare disparities in Northeast Ohio are addressed and more people can remain safely in their homes - regardless of their ability to pay.
